Verve Management is excited to announce that Radwa Rostom, CEO, Hand Over is going to speak at the Egypt Building Materials Summit on 6 – 7 February 2019 at The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo, Egypt.
Radwa Rostom is a civil engineer with more than nine years working experience. Rostom worked in several fields such as construction, green buildings, environmental consultancy, energy efficiency, energy management and CSR. Rostom also worked with several international organizations such as the World Bank, UNIDO and UNDP.
In April 2014, Rostom was granted a fellowship from “The DO School” in Hamburg, Germany where she had the chance to Kick-off her startup “Hand Over” a social enterprise that uses sustainable construction technology to design and build cost-effective and environment-friendly building for the different segment of our community, using the Human centered design approach and backed-up by research. The ultimate goal is to revolutionize the building industry and create a model that could be replicated to create suitable communities.
Rostom is a certified earth builder from the Earth institute in Auroville, India. Rostom was featured on the list of “The 100 most influential Young Arabs under 40 in 2015 & 2016”, created by Arabian Business magazine. In September 2015, Rostom was awarded the wining prize for the “Women for Resilient Cities” Competition, organized by the World Bank and recently she was granted two fellowships from “Echoing Green” organization and “Ashoka” organization.
